I used my new Holbein watercolors to paint this drawing. (I love them.) Drawn with a Pilot Falcon SEF using Platinum Carbon Black. A trifecta of Japanese paint, pen, and ink.
This was my first time to use masking fluid. For so long I struggled to make large areas of consistent color without lines or unwanted texture... I knew about masking fluid but I never used it because I thought it would be time consuming. It's actually easy, and even kind of fun.
Also, I can't get over how much I love the Holbein watercolors. I know there are other great brands like Daniel Smith, etc, but Holbein somehow goes with my pens and inks since they all have the same country of origin.
