My favorite fountain pens are Japanese... and recently I discovered my favorite ink: Platinum Carbon Black, also Japanese. I also discovered "Holbein" watercolor which is also Japanese so I feel like I've found a perfect trio.
I feel like I finally have things figured out as far as my art supplies go. In fact, going forward I plan to use watercolor exclusively. I just enjoy it so much... there's something so human and imperfect about it. Watercolor has a life of its own.
"Stuck on Duckling Outpost, some might say it is a drag, but with luck maybe we'll get to fly the Duckling Kingdom flag!"
My youngest boy thinks his last name is Duckling. Bazel Duckling. The flag there is his official flag, the flag of Duckling Kingdom. Once we were at a place and I was signing him in and they asked, "What's his name?" and I said "Bazel Cox." My boy was totally offended: "My name's not Bazel COX, it's BAZEL DUCKLING!"
Sometimes he tweets photos of himself into my social networks and gets in a lot of trouble for that. Maybe he is a duckling.
